Dr Falco Pfalzgraf was invited to speak on “German at Universities in England in Transition: Decline, Restructuring, and the Question of its Future” at the International Symposium on Teaching and Learning German Worldwide: Dynamic Perspectives and Current Developments in Saarbrücken, Germany, on Wednesday, 29 October 2025. All costs were kindly covered by the Language Council of Saarland.

Professor Thomas Tinnefeld, Chair of the Language Council of Saarland (Sprachenrat Saar), invited Dr Falco Pfalzgraf to present his paper “German at Universities in England in Transition: Decline, Restructuring, and the Question of its Future” (Deutsch an englischen Universitäten im Wandel: Rückzug, Restrukturierung und die Frage nach der Zukunft) at the International Symposium on Teaching and Learning German Worldwide: Dynamic Perspectives and Current Developments (Internationales Symposium Deutsch lehren und lernen international – dynamische Perspektiven & aktuelle Entwicklungen), held in the Old Town Hall, Saarbrücken, Germany, on Wednesday, 29 October 2025.
The presentation was live streamed to more than 250 hybrid attendees via YouTube, LinkedIn, and Vimeo. All expenses were generously covered by the Language Council of Saarland (Sprachenrat Saar).
