Our course gives you an exciting opportunity to study theatre and performance in a variety of cultures and historical periods, and across a range of forms including plays, site-specific performance, live art, and socially engaged and applied performance. It also encourages you to be a curious and effective performance maker, writer, researcher and collaborator.
You’ll use a mixture of practical and theoretical investigations to ask questions and make discoveries about how theatre and performance can be used in different settings, such as in theatres, art galleries, schools, prisons, warehouses, museums, and the street, for example, in the UK and internationally. We support you to learn actively through practical workshops, seminars, theatre and performance trips, sessions with guest practitioners, and fieldwork.
