Queen Mary Student Ambassador

Engage with prospective students, strengthen your skills, meet new people and share your passion for Queen Mary.

   

QMUL Student Ambassadors are part of the Student Recruitment and Widening Participation team within the central External relations directorate and are separate to academic schools Student Ambassadors.  

Applications are opened to apply to become a Student Ambassador and Curriculum Ambassador. Details of each role and links for how to apply are below.  

Types of Student Ambassador role

  • Curriculum Ambassador

Curriculum Ambassador  

You must have experience of instructing, teaching or tutoring others, ideally in an education setting and a minimum of one year’s experience working as a Student Ambassador at any institution or relevant experience to apply for this role. We welcome applicants from all academic schools and subjects.

Student Ambassador Scheme (Student Recruitment & Widening Participation)  

Supporting the delivery of on and off campus events. We welcome applicants from all academic schools and subjects for both undergraduate and postgraduate level. 

Applications are CLOSED.

Applications will reopen August 2026.

Working under the direction of Queen Mary staff or Senior/Curriculum Ambassadors, Student Ambassadors will assist in the delivery of outreach activities by sharing their own experience of studying at and applying to Queen Mary. Student Ambassadors will represent the face of Queen Mary at a range of on-campus and external events, and as such will be enthusiastic and confident, with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Student Careers Ambassador 

Applications for the next round of Student Careers Ambassadors are now open! Apply here before 26th March.

This paid role is exclusively available to Queen Mary students where you will act as an advocate to help increase student engagement and awareness of Queen Mary Careers and Enterprise across the university.

The role is also part-time, flexible, and largely on-campus, designed to fit around your study commitments. The role will be 10 hours per week on average for 30 weeks throughout the academic terms.
