Yash Jangid (Commercial and Corporate Law LLM, 2023) has been appointed as Asia Pacific Regional Forum Liaison Officer for the Academic and Professional Development Committee of the International Bar Association for the term 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027.

The Academic and Professional Development Committee connects law schools, legal professionals and the IBA to enhance the quality of lawyers worldwide, modernise legal practice and strengthen Bars globally. In his regional role, Yash will focus on integrating artificial intelligence into legal education, advancing AI literacy among lawyers and promoting a rules-based international legal order as part of a broader commitment to responsible and future-oriented global practice.

Yash has also cleared the UK Bar Transfer Test, making him eligible for Call to the Bar at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 2026, thereby positioning him to practise across major common law jurisdictions, India and the United Kingdom, a distinction achieved by relatively few practitioners.

He practises before the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Rajasthan, while managing UK–India arbitration matters. He also serves as Of Counsel for arbitration-related work with Mehta Chambers’ London operations.

Yash aims to develop a multi-jurisdictional practice focused on international commercial and trade law, with particular emphasis on arbitration. He is currently authoring a forthcoming book with Springer Nature, Switzerland, on the intersection of arbitration and artificial intelligence.

In 2025, Yash was awarded the IBA Academic and Professional Development Committee Scholarship and attended the IBA Annual Conference in Toronto, Canada.
