Are current Sustainable Financial Standards driving capital toward genuine climate solutions, or do they merely create a compliance checklist that invites greenwashing?

Join us for the New Voices Forum, an interdisciplinary panel jointly organized by the QMUL CCLS Energy & Climate Change Law, Banking & Finance Law, and International Tax Law LLM programs, under the support of the Energy and Climate Change Law Institute. Moderated by Dr. Tedd Moya Mose, this event brings together emerging legal professionals to dissect the realities of sustainable finance.

What to Expect:

· A lively fast paced panel discussion: LLM students from three disciplines will share their brief, specialised insights on the question.

· Relaxed atmosphere: The panel will be followed by a dynamic, open-floor Q&A discussion conducted under the Chatham House Rule to encourage all to participate, speak freely and openly.

· Global & Commercial Perspectives: We will explore the implementation of Sustainable Financial Standards from macro-economic central bank policies down to micro-level corporate M&A and tax execution, featuring specific case studies from different jurisdictions.

· Networking: Connect with peers, faculty, and industry practitioners over a drinks reception.

Schedule:

  • 4:30 PM: Registration
  • 5:00 PM: Welcome and Introduction
  • 5:05 PM: Forum discussion followed by an open floor Q&A
  • 6:15 PM – 7:30 PM: Networking drinks reception
