Profile

Ine Beyens is Assistant Professor in the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) at the University of Amsterdam. Her research focuses on the effects of digital media on the emotional, cognitive, and social development of children and adolescents. Her current work investigates the effects of social media use on adolescents' mental health. In her work, she employs intensive longitudinal data, collected through experience sampling and daily diary methods. Ine is co-founder of Project AWeSome, an interdisciplinary collaboration that investigates the effects of social media use on various aspects of adolescents' well-being.
