Profile

Edward van Daalen is a socio-legal researcher working on the intersections of international law, critical children’s rights studies, and international development. He holds a PhD in law from the Centre for Children’s Rights Studies at the University of Geneva, and formerly worked at the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) and the Labour Law and Development Research Laboratory (LLDRL) at McGill University. He also leads the Children and Work Network. His research interests include children’s political agency and participation, children's work, children’s liberation and situating ‘family abolition’ in critical children’s rights scholarship.
