Dr Amy Hanna

Lecturer in Children's Studies, University of Galway, Ireland
Profile
Amy's research interests are in children's rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC); particularly the intersection between children's education rights and their other rights enshrined in the CRC. Amy's research thus far has been focused on how children's rights are realised in education settings and to what extent education policy complies with UNCRC obligations. Amy has examined these issues using social epistemology and theories of power and is interested in how broader theories can help conceptualise children's rights more broadly.
