Queen Mary are looking for volunteers to test an AI platform to see if its suitable to roll out to support research at Queen Mary. We have identified a chosen platform – NebulaOne - and are looking to gather feedback on how easy it is to use and the quality of the support it provides. Outputs of the test will inform our future strategy around the provision of AI tools to our research community. This could result in the university giving all researchers access to NebulaOne, enabling them to benefit from gains in productivity and efficiency, while ensuring that we have safeguards in place to protect our data and IP.

Volunteers will need to do one of three tests:

  • Using the platform to support them to draft a paper or an application

  • Using the platform to provide feedback on a paper or a grant application

  • Conducting a literature review or summary of other information

The test will take place from 1-5pm on 27 January in person on the Mile End Campus. This will include a demonstration of the platform, plus time for you to complete your test and to complete some feedback. You are expected to take time in advance of the test to identify the material you will use, and to email details of the test you are doing to the project team so we have a record of the tests conducted. If this opportunity is oversubscribed, we will use this information to ensure we have a balance of activity across all three tests.

Volunteers must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK

  • Be able to attend the test in person

This opportunity will be paid at £21.05 per hour, for a maximum of 7 hours work.

To sign up, please email Sue Mason, s.mason@qmul.ac.uk.
