Profile
Yasir Alfadhl received the BEng(Hons.) degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), in 2000, and the PhD degree in Electromagnetics/Bio-Electromagnetics from QMUL in 2005. He joined QMUL in 2009 and is currently Reader in Electromagnetics and Bioelectromagnetics in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. His research spans Electromagnetics, Bioelectromagnetics, wireless systems, high-power electromagnetic devices, and sensing and biomedical applications. In addition to his research activity, he is Director of Assessment and Quality for the Joint Programme / Joint Education Institute with BUPT and has contributed extensively to assessment, quality assurance, programme leadership, and transnational education. His scholarship interests include Authentic Assessment, Assessment Design, and Engineering Education Practice. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a member of the Bioelectromagnetics Society.
