Bio: Pouria is VP of AI at Hummingbird Technologies, an AgriTech startup, where he leads a team of Machine Learning scientists, Earth Observation scientists and Geospatial analysts. He holds a PhD in computer vision from the University of Surrey and has over 15 years of experience in visual computing and machine learning, both in academia and industry. His past experience spans various industries including telecom, broadcasting, and FinTech and includes large organisations as well as SMEs and startups. Before joining Hummingbird, was Director of Research at Onfido, a leading Identity verification scale up, where he led the machine learning team to build and scale a new line of products in facial biometrics. In this talk Pouria will present an overview of how Hummingbird uses machine learning for monitoring, reporting, and verification of sustainable agriculture practices.
