About this event

Join us for the next installment of our ‘Alumni Angles’ event series, Transformational Coaching and Mentoring with leadership guru Professor David Clutterbuck on Tuesday 1 March 2022 at 6.30pm (GMT).

Professor Clutterbuck (English BA 1968) is a pioneering authority on leadership, management, talent development and especially coaching and mentoring.

This event will be open to online and in-person participants. You can register to tune in online via Zoom or join us in the Octagon on our Mile End campus where we will be streaming David’s talk to a live audience with refreshments.

In-person workshops (optional)

Guests who attend on campus will additionally have the opportunity to join one of three parallel in-person workshops:

  • Coaching for staff and students (open to all alumni and staff)
  • Planning your career (aimed at early to mid-career alumni)
  • QMentor networking (for QMentors only)

Limited spaces are available for these sessions and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Please register only if you are planning to attend the workshop.

Meet our keynote speaker

Professor David Clutterbuck graduated from Westfield College, one of Queen Mary’s founding institutions, with a BA in English in 1968. Renowned as one of Europe’s most prolific and well-known management writers and thinkers, he is co-founder and lifetime ambassador of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and now leads a global network of trainer-consultant researchers, Coaching and Mentoring International.  David has authored 70 books on coaching, mentoring, leadership, and other management themes and is a Visiting Professor at universities including Henley Business School, Sheffield Hallam, Oxford Brookes, and York St John. His key areas of interest include coaching, team coaching, mentoring, talent development, leadership, governance, ethics, and the decolonisation of coaching.

This event is being organised in partnership with colleagues in Careers and Enterprise and Organisational and Professional Development and is part of our Public Lecture Series.

The keynote talk will be held online via Zoom - please note that the webinar link will be emailed to you in advance of the event. If you would like to submit a question for Professor David Clutterbuck, please email alumni@qmul.ac.uk.

A waiting list will be in operation for the in-person workshops so do let us know if you are no longer able to attend so we can release your place. If there is no availability for your preferred in-person workshop, please register as an online attendee and email alumni@qmul.ac.uk to be added to the waiting list.
