Black Academic Success Panel Event

When: Wednesday, December 4, 2024, 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM
Where: Milton Lecture Theatre, Garrod Building, Whitechapel, E1 2AD, Whitechapel Campus

Speaker: James Esson; Oyinlola Oyebode; Segun Fatumo

This will be an opportunity to discuss the experience of academia from a Black perspective, and in particular how to successfully navigate through an academic career.

We are excited to announce the QMUL Black Postdoc Society and Imperial College Postdoctoral Network is hosting a panel discussion and celebration of Black academic success. We will hear about the career journeys of three Black professors from QMUL:

 

  • James Esson, Professor of Geography
  • Oyinlola Oyebode, Professor of Public Health and Centre Lead, Public Health & Policy
  • Segun Fatumo, Professor and Chair of Genomic Diversity
