PhD Project
Power and Localism in St. Radegund's Abbey, Kent
My project explores everyday life in Medieval England in the period after the passing of Magna Carta, to the Black death, with a focus on how power was expressed and experienced by non-elite people. The focus of my study is the small Premonstratensian abbey of St. Radegund's, near Dover in Kent. I am also looking at how these ideas are reflected in landscapes and the environment.
