MA Programmes
Study one of our four diverse Masters degree programmes. Whichever programme you opt for, you can shape your degree to your interests with the broad choice of optional modules.
MA History
Our MA History offers a rich understanding of the past and equips you to unearth the stories that shape our world while developing critical skills to evaluate arguments and evidence - essential in a world of AI and misinformation. You’ll work with world-class historians and industry experts from Netflix, the BBC, and London's Museums.
MA War Studies
Disrupt conventional thinking, and study our interdisciplinary MA War Studies and obtain a unique toolbox to approach conflict, war, terror, security, and other forms of political violence, innovatively and critically. Build vital advanced historical, theoretical, and conceptual understandings of the field, and specialise in your preferred area of study.
MA History of Political Thought and Intellectual History
This MA provides advanced training in intellectual history, the history of political thought, and the history of philosophy, spanning the period from the ancient world to the 21st century. It's a unique intercollegiate programme, offered jointly by Queen Mary University of London and UCL.
MA Urban History and Culture
Study the social, political, cultural, and economic development of two great world cities: Paris and London. Administered by the University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP), the MA in Urban History and Culture is offered in collaboration with Queen Mary’s School of Society and Environment and the School of the Arts.
