Academic boycotts are intensifying against Israel – Report
Professor Neve Gordon spoke to University World News about the growing boycott of Israeli universities and researchers.

A new report from the Academic Boycott of Israel Monitoring Team, created by the Committee of University Presidents in Tel Aviv (VERH), found that reports of academic boycotts against Israeli institutions, including private reports by Israeli researchers, have now risen to 1,000 – twice the number of reports in March.
Neve Gordon, Professor of International Law and Human Rights at Queen Mary University of London, said the boycott of Israeli academia was not “a principle, but a strategy deployed until Israel stops violating international law and the academic freedom of Palestinians living under its control and until the universities stop supporting the military and security complexes that carry out these violations”.
