Professor Phoebe Okowa elected to the Institut de Droit International

Professor Phoebe Okowa was elected as an Associate Member of the Institut de Droit International (IDI).

Founded in 1873 and a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, the IDI has played a leading role in shaping the development of international law for over 150 years.

Professor Okowa said: “I am humbled to join such a distinguished body and grateful for the confidence of my peers. I look forward to contributing to the Institute’s mission of promoting the progress of international law alongside colleagues from around the world.”

Professor Okowa is also a Member of the United Nations International Law Commission, where she continues to contribute to the advancement of international legal scholarship and practice.
