Informal Meetings on Financial Stability, Tokenisation and Non-Bank Financial Intermediation

On 23 June 2026, the Centre for Commercial Law Studies hosted an informal meeting/dialogue that welcomed Yan Liu, General Counsel of the International Monetary Fund, together with Robert Price and George Johnston, Joint Acting General Counsel of the Bank of England, as well as members of the Bank's Legal Directorate, practitioners and other academics. The meetings were convened by Professor Rosa Lastra, Sir John Lubbock Chair in Banking Law.
Current issues and developments, from tokenisation to AI and financial stability, were discussed, providing a fruitful exchange of ideas and perspectives.
