Israel flattens camps

Penny Green, Professor of Law and Globalisation at Queen Mary, wrote for Middle East Eye, arguing that Israel’s destruction of refugee camps in Jenin, Nur Shams, and Tulkarm is forcibly displacing tens of thousands of Palestinians.

Published:
The destroyed abandoned building and the Mount of Temptation on the background at Palestinian city of Jericho at West Bank, Palestine.

She writes: "Refugees described how, as soon as they invaded the camps, Israeli forces cut off all communication and utilities. Internet, electricity and water disappeared instantly. These displaced refugees were evicted to a literal nowhere. Some found relatives to stay with, while many more sought shelter in mosques, abandoned schools, wedding halls and other public spaces. They now live at the margins of survival."
