Summary of research
I draw upon political and legal theory on the Rule of Law to critique the external border regime of the European Union.
Biography
I am a doctoral student in the School of Law at Queen Mary University of London. I am working under the supervision of Professor Violeta Moreno-Lax and Professor Mario Mendez. I am supported by a Principal’s Studentship from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Queen Mary University of London.
I am also a teaching associate in European Union law in the School of Law at Queen Mary University of London.
I have three main research interests in law:
- immigration and nationality law;
- European Union law; and
- philosophy of law.
I hold an LLM degree in European Law from the University of Edinburgh. I also have an MA degree in European Studies from the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and a BA degree in History from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
I have experience working on immigration and nationality law in the UK and the EU.
