Profile

I’m Chenyang Li, a 2nd-year Ph.D. student in the Centre for Complex Systems, School of Mathematical Sciences, Queen Mary University of London (2024–present), supervised by Prof. Vito Latora and Dr. Nicola Perra.
I study large-scale socio-technical systems, focusing on how scientific and entrepreneurial collaboration generates innovation and shapes economic outcomes. Methodologically, I use complex networks—including higher-order and temporal interactions—to model dynamics on networks, controllability/robustness, and to extract predictive signalsof field evolution and venture success from multi-source data.

Research

Research Interests:

• Complex networks & multiplex systems

• Higher-order & temporal networks

• Dynamics on networks

• Controllability, robustness, and vital-node problems

• Statistical physics of networks

• Innovation ecosystems; global trade networks; global conflict networks
