Dr Eoghan Kelly

Profile

Eoghan became the Postdoctoral Researcher in British Politics at the Mile End Institute in September 2025. Previously, he had studied at universities in Ireland, Spain and Germany before undertaking a PhD from Queen's University, Belfast in voting behaviour in the UK. He has lectured on Irish Politics and research methods at Queen's University, Belfast and Trinity College Dublin and worked on the Scottish Election Study with the University of Edinburgh.

Eoghan leads the Institute's signature "Polling London" project and his research focuses on elections and public opinion in Ireland and UK. He is the co-founder of DevolvedElections.co.uk which lets anyone create election projections for Scotland, Wales, London and Northern Ireland, and he also co-founded IrishElections.ie which does the same for Irish elections.
