Queen Mary University of London has approved the world’s first MSc in Precision Musculoskeletal Sciences, launching in September 2026
This new postgraduate programme is delivered by the Centre for Experimental Medicine and Rheumatology, a flagship theme within the NIHR Barts Biomedical Research Centre, which holds Centre of Excellence status awarded by the EULAR and aligns with the Barts Precision Medicine Academy’s translational mission.
With a strong emphasis on biopsy-driven stratification, multi-omics approaches, innovative clinical trial design, and clinical observership in collaboration with the Barts Health Education Academy at Barts Health NHS Trust, the programme positions itself at the forefront of modern musculoskeletal medicine.
