How to Apply
General admissions for CILT and PGCAP starting in September 2026 are now open.
To apply, please select the appropriate application link below and ensure that you read the eligibility criteria below before completing the form.
Please note that priority will be given to colleagues required to complete our courses as part of their probation or contract agreement with Queen Mary. CILT and PGCAP are open to Queen Mary staff (ie. those holding a current contract of employment) teaching or supporting the learning of Queen Mary students. Please note that NHS staff are not eligible to enrol on these programmes. Queen Mary’s Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry offers a Medical Education PGCert and Medical Education MA programmes and has established a new Academy of Clinical Educators.
Please consult the CILT and PGCAP webpages for further information about eligibility.
Submitting your application:
We use Queen Mary’s standard postgraduate application form, and there are some elements of the process which are not relevant to applicants for CILT, PGCAP and MEd:
- Our programmes do not have tuition fees. Therefore, please disregard any mention of tuition fees in the offer letter or in automated emails which may be issued to you during the application process.
- Queen Mary employees do not need to provide certificates as evidence of their academic qualifications, and do not need to provide evidence of English language proficiency. If you are unable to proceed through the application form without uploading these files, you may upload blank documents.
Right to Study checks at enrolment
Please note that a Right to Study check is required at enrolment stage for admission to any Queen Mary programme of study, including those for staff development, and therefore you may be asked to provide details of your immigration status as part of the pre-enrolment process.
