As a mentor, I often encounter colleagues who have creative teaching practices but aren’t aware of how innovative their ideas are, or of the positive impact these practices have on students. I’ve enjoyed helping colleagues appreciate the value of what they do and assisting them in gaining formal recognition for it. As a TRP reviewer, I’m constantly inspired by the various ways that colleagues across the University have embedded different dimensions of inclusivity - a core part of Queen Mary University’s mission - in their specific discipline and teaching context. The sharing of experiences and expertise among reviewers has also helped improve my own teaching practice. Overall, it’s been a privilege to be part of the TRP community.
