We’re always learning. That’s why I love being an educator. It’s what also drew me to being a mentor and reviewer. I began in 2022 when, after successfully completing my FHEA, I was invited to join the TRP team.

I clearly remember my own experience of doing the FHEA. I had a wonderful mentor who was encouraging, supportive and really opened my eyes to the value of reflection. Once I started writing about my own experience, I began to better understand and appreciate the magnitude of what we do as educators, and the positive impact our teaching & learning practice has on others.

If I can help my mentees embrace reflection as a way of developing and celebrating their practice, I’m happy. In the process, I get to meet interesting colleagues from across the university, and learn about all the remarkable, innovative ways they contribute to our community!
