Abstract
Animal tissues develop into functional 3D structures while experiencing constantly changing mechanical forces. How do they establish and maintain robust developmental patterns under such conditions? In this talk, I will present a dual approach to address this question, combining high-resolution 3D imaging and mechanical perturbations of dissected tissues with a novel high-throughput, organism-level assay in Drosophila larvae.
