Why did you choose to study MSc Marketing in the Creative Industries?

I chose to study this degree because it reflected my interests in media, popular culture, and creative marketing, while providing a clear pathway for transitioning from the third sector into the creative industries.

What do you currently work as?

I currently lead content production and brand storytelling at The Royal Ballet School.

How has your Masters helped you in your career path so far?

My degree gave me the language, vocabulary, and conceptual frameworks needed to operate confidently within the creative industries. While I already had marketing experience, the programme helped me understand how to translate and apply that knowledge specifically to cultural and creative contexts.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about studying the MSc?

For someone considering this degree, I would advise actively participating in class discussions and using them as a space to test ideas and build confidence. I’d also recommend finding a professor whose work or career path you admire and engaging with them.

I would suggest being proactive both academically and socially from the start. London can feel overwhelming, but engaging fully with your course and community helps you find your footing quickly.
