The School of Business and Management (SBM) Mentoring Programme is now open for mentee applications - giving you the chance to be matched with an experienced professional or alumni mentor who can help you take the next step in your career journey.
This seven-month initiative connects Queen Mary students with mentors from a wide range of industries, including finance, consultancy, government, marketing, HR, law, and entrepreneurship. It’s a unique opportunity to learn from someone who has been where you are now, and who understands the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Why become a mentee?
As a mentee, you’ll receive personalised, one-to-one support to help you grow your confidence and career awareness. Together with your mentor, you’ll explore your goals and develop the skills you need to stand out in today’s competitive job market.
You can expect:
- Monthly one-to-one sessions, in person or online
- Guidance on job applications, interviews, and career planning
- A safe space to ask questions and test ideas
- Encouragement and advice from someone with real-world experience
Who can apply?
The programme is open to all current undergraduate and postgraduate School of Business and Management students who are motivated to develop their employability skills and build a supportive professional relationship over seven months.
