Heritage Management Masters Students Explore Hillsborough Castle and Gardens
Heritage Management MA students undertook a field trip to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens in Northern Ireland.

On 25 June masters students from Heritage Management MA together with Programme Director Professor John Davis undertook a field trip to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens in Northern Ireland, one of the sites managed by Historic Royal Palaces.
Students met with staff working in conservation, curating, interpretation, gardens, education and community outreach.
Hillsborough History
Hillsborough has a long and multifaceted history. Benjamin Franklin visited Lord Hillsborough – Secretary of State for the Colonies – just over 200 years ago: Benjamin Franklin's curious visit to Hillsborough Castle | Historic Royal Palaces.
The castle was also the setting for the Northern Ireland peace negotiations led by Mo Mowlam: Mo Mowlam: the People's Peacemaker | Hillsborough Castle | Historic Royal Palaces.
Hillsborough Castle and Gardens has been open to the public as a heritage site since 2014.
