What did you enjoy most about your course and time at university?

My favourite part of studying the MSc Management at Queen Mary was the balance between theory and real-world application. The course encouraged critical thinking about how organisations actually operate  from strategy and operations to people and leadership, rather than just abstract concepts. I also really valued the diversity of perspectives from both the cohort and the teaching staff, which made discussions more engaging and reflective of real workplace environments.

What surprised you the most about the MSc Management programme?

One surprising takeaway was how central people, culture, and organisational design are to performance and delivery. While strategy and structure matter, I learned that projects and operations often succeed or fail based on how well organisations manage stakeholders, communication, and employee experiences. This became especially clear during my dissertation, which deepened my understanding of workplace dynamics in UK organisations.

What are your plans for the future now that you have graduated?

I’m currently exploring opportunities in project management, consulting, and operations, where I can apply my skills in analysis, stakeholder management, and structured problem-solving. I’m keen to work in roles that involve delivering tangible outcomes, managing complexity, and contributing to meaningful organisational impact. I’m focused on gaining hands-on experience and continuing to develop professionally.

What advice would you give to future students?

My advice to future students would be to engage actively with the course beyond assessments participate in discussions, build relationships with your peers, and make use of the resources available at Queen Mary. Starting coursework early and treating assignments like real-world projects also makes a big difference. Most importantly, be open to learning from different perspectives it adds real value to both your academic and personal development.
