Biography
Dr. Ayan Meer is Lecturer in Business and Society at the School of Business and Management. His research and teaching interests revolve around the political economy of development, and the social and territorial transformations brought about by international capital mobility.
Prior to joining QMUL, Ayan was a visiting researcher at Sciences Po’ Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics (CEE), and at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD). He has professional experience in the development sector, having worked at UN-Habitat in Nairobi, Kenya, and at the Centre for Policy Research in New Delhi, India.
Ayan holds a PhD in Political Economy from MIT, a MSc in International Development from the LSE, a BA in Political Science from Sciences Po and a BA in Philosophy from Sorbonne University.
