New book brings new methodology to political theory
'Derrida, Deconstruction and Political Theory' takes a unique approach presenting deconstruction as a methodology for political theory.

The book by Lasse Thomassen, Professor of Politics in the School of Society and Environment (SSE) is the first comprehensive study of deconstruction as political theory, showing Jacques Derrida’s relevance for contemporary political theory.
Deconstruction is generally used as a methodological approach in philosophy and literature, and this book presents it as a new opportunity for political and legal theorists to explore new avenues for research. The book demonstrates what deconstruction can achieve with political concepts such as democracy, populism, post-truth, sovereignty and justice.
