Project Description

This project examines the way in which geometry can be generalised and extended to make manifest the hidden symmetries in string and M-theory. So far much progress has been made in combining the metric with p-form potentials into a single metric that acts on an enlarged space. The project will examine the consequences of this and seek novel applications where new physics becomes manifest from this reformulation of the theory.
