Convention de stage
If you have secured an internship outside the UK, your employer may require you and QMUL to complete a 'Convention de Stage' or ‘Internship Agreement’ document. Based on your circumstances, please see below the correct form you should use:
- Instructions for Document A - February 2026 [PDF 269KB] for current students who require an agreement for an employer.
- Instructions for Document B - February 2026 [PDF 155KB] If your employer will not accept the standard QMUL agreement, requiring you to complete their own agreement
- Instructions for Document C - February 2026 [PDF 299KB] if your course has ended or will end during or before the internship. We can sign off the internship agreement (Convention de stage) if your course ended within the last 3 years.

For internships taking place in France
Employers in France may no longer accept university internship agreement forms but require their company specific convention de stage paperwork to be completed. If your internship is taking place in France, we recommend you first check with the employer if they will accept the QMUL standard agreement or if they will need to provide their own agreement.
If you are a CCLS or ULIP student studying International Business Law, please use the below agreement:
You will need to use either this: Convention de Stage - English Version [DOC 32KB] or this: Convention de Stage - French Version [DOC 33KB] . Please also carefully read this: Essential information about Convention de Stage [PDF 614KB]
Please send the completed form and any other queries to pglaw-internship@qmul.ac.uk
