West Smithfield basement works taking place from 09 March - 30 March 2026

Please be aware that due to some works taking place in the West Smithfield Basement from Monday 09 March to Monday 30 March 2026, the fire exit route at this site will be temporarily suspended.

This means there will be no step free access to the basement via the Barts lift during this time period.

However, to ensure services run smoothly the library will operate on a 24/7 basis and provide step-free access to the library.
