Learn more about instalment plan options when paying your tuition fees

Who can pay using an Instalment Plan?

You can use an instalment plan to pay your tuition fees if:

  • You are self-funding (paying your own tuition fees)
  • Your total tuition fees for the year are more than £1,000

You cannot use an instalment plan if you are studying:

  • A Pre-sessional programme
  • A short course
  • A one-semester study abroad associate programme
  • A  postgraduate research student starting after 1st February

Arranging an Instalment Plan

There are three main steps to follow to arrange an instalment plan:

  • Step 1 – Pay the first instalment of the self-funding portion of the tuition fee
  • Step 2 – Pay the £60/€70 instalment plan administration charge (if applicable)
  • Step 3 – Submit an instalment plan for the remaining balance and upload evidence of your UK postgraduate loan funding, if applicable

Step 1 - Pay the first instalment

  • All Overseas and Overseas EU students: Pay at least 50% of the self-funding portion of the tuition fee
  • Home fee paying Undergraduate students: Pay at least 25% of your tuition fee.
  • Home fee paying Postgraduate students must pay at least 50% of the self-funding portion of the tuition fee. If you have an approved Postgraduate Loan from Student Finance that covers your full tuition fee: Skip Step 1 and continue with Steps 2 and 3
