Applications may be considered after these dates if places are still available but it is in your interest to apply as early as possible, as applications are considered on a rolling basis. Autumn semester only students will complete examinations during the teaching period: 22 September - 12 December 2025
Exception: those studying modules within the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), may have online examinations in January 2026.
Some invigilated exams that require in-person attendance will take place in December 2025 and will be scheduled in December, typically during the last week of the term.
Full Year students will sit examinations for their Autumn semester modules on the following dates: 8 January - 23 January 2026. (provisional: subject to change)
- Late summer resit period
Any students required to resubmit coursework or examinations will complete these between the resit period unless otherwise stated, this takes place: 2 August - 13 August 2026. (provisional: subject to change)

*Housing contracts begin on 8th January, but students don’t need to move in on that day, they just need to arrive before Welcome Week starts on the 19th. Semester 1 Only Students:
Some invigilated exams that require in-person attendance will take place in December 2026 and will be scheduled in December, typically during the last week of the term and study period. Semester 1 only students may also have coursework that can be submitted remotely in January.
Exception: those studying modules within the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), may have online examinations in January 2027.
Full Year Students:
Full Year students are expected to return to London for any in-person exams that are scheduled during the January 2027 exam period. Full Year students also have exams in May/June - please see Spring 2027 tab for more details.
Resit Exams:
Any Semester 1 Only students required to resubmit coursework or examinations will complete these at the next available opportunity. This may be during our Summer 3 exam period (Thursday 6 May - Friday 4 June 2027) or during our Late Summer Resit Period (Monday 2 - Friday 13 August 2027).

Important to Note:
Semester 2 and Full Year Students should plan to remain in London until the end of the programme, until their exam timetables are typically published in mid March. Exams will not be rearranged to accommodate personal travel plans that involve leaving before the end of the programme.
Resit Exams:
Any students required to resubmit coursework or examinations will complete these during our Late Summer Resit Period (Monday 2 - Friday 13 August 2027).

Autumn semester students are free to leave the University after the end of the teaching semester in December, but housing is available to those living on campus through until the end of the Christmas holiday period if needed, and is charged in accordance with this (see housing contract for more details).
The end date outlined on the offer letter for Autumn semester offer holders will be in January of the following year, to take in to account the assessment submission period.
** Students are required to remain at the University until assessments for all their courses have been completed and should not make any arrangements for leaving before they know the dates of their examinations. The exam timetable is published towards the end of the Spring semester.
