Frances Ridout - Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Director (Clinical Legal Education)
Frances is responsible for the overall running of the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre. She is the module convenor for the two Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre modules; The Practice of Law in a Clinical Environment and Public Legal Education and Community Street Law. Frances is a practising barrister (16 years call). She has expertise in criminal law and image based sexual abuse. Frances is also a trustee of the Clinical Legal Education Organisation, author of the text book Street Law: Theory and Practice, and Co-Host on the legal education and careers podcast called ReImagine Law. Katy Robinson, Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Supervising Solicitor (SRA number: 504749)
Katy is the Legal Advice Centre’s Supervising Solicitor. Under the guidance of the Centre’s Director, Katy provides supervision for many aspects of students’ legal work within the LAC, supporting the development of key skills and knowledge for their future careers.
Katy qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and has over 18 years of legal casework experience, predominantly in public law, civil liberties and human rights, including asylum and asylum support, immigration detention, community care and migrant rights. Helen Cord - Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Operations Manager
Helen leads the daily operations and strategic development of the QMLAC, with oversight of HR, IT, policy development, events, estates, and health and safety. She has overall management responsibility for the Client Services and Public Legal Education teams and serves as the escalation point for all matters involving staff, clients, students, and volunteer lawyers.
Kelli Ryan – Client Services Manager
Kelli is responsible for managing all aspects of the client advice work the QMLAC undertakes. Kelli is responsible for the development and delivery of the clinic work and for the relationships with the external volunteer lawyers and pro bono contacts that participate in clinic. Kelli manages the coordination of all client enquiries seeking legal advice.
Meghan Mizen - Public Legal Education and Street Law Manager
Meghan is responsible for managing the Public Legal Education and Street Law work of the centre. She is responsible for the strategy, development and overall delivery of these projects and primarily works with clients and organisations in the community. Meghan is also undertaking a Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship in the centre and hopes to be a qualified solicitor in 2026.
Daisy Keter - Client and Community Coordinator
Daisy is responsible for coordinating the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre appointments between clients, students, and volunteer lawyers. In addition Daisy is responsible for coordinating community & collaborative projects, with specific responsibility in the following areas: SPITE for Schools, the Social Welfare Benefits and Domestic Abuse Form Filling clinics, and coordination of the QMLAC’s partnership with the University of London Refugee Clinic.
Eve Haynes - Public Legal Education and Street Law Coordinator
Eve is responsible for coordinating the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre's Public Legal Education, Street Law and Collaborative Projects. Eve has specific responsibility for Street Law projects such as School Tasking and I Am You, coordination of the QMLAC Blog Project, and leading on collaborative projects such as the Future Leaders Community Mentoring Scheme.
Rachel Yi - Client Services Coordinator
Rachel is responsible for the day to day coordination of the Student Adviser Project. Rachel acts as the liaison between the clients and the Student Advisers as well as the Supervisors. She coordinates the daily administration of the client enquiries, appointments and advice letters.
Dimples - Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Administrator
Dimples provides assistance to the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Coordinators. She helps deal with client enquiries, booking client appointments into the Centre and signposting clients where we are unable to assist. Dimples also helps our students with their day-to-day questions and leads student reflection sessions (known as Breakfast Club).
Rumina - Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Administrator
Rumina provides assistance to the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Coordinators. She helps deal with client enquiries, booking client appointments into the Centre and signposting clients where we are unable to assist. Rumina also helps our students with their day-to-day questions and monitors our client feedback.
Neha - Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Administrator
Neha provides assistance to the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Coordinators. She helps deal with client enquiries, booking client appointments into the Centre and signposting clients where we are unable to assist. Neha also helps our students with their day-to-day questions and leads student reflection sessions (known as Breakfast Club).
Zehra - Client and Student Administrator
Zehra provides assistance to the Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre Coordinators, including assisting in dealing with client enquiries, appointment booking, public legal education projects and administrative duties in the QMLAC.
