The Queen Mary Impact Fund is inviting external professionals (junior to senior level) from different sectors to join the Impact Collaborator Community
What is the Impact Collaborator Community?
As an Impact Collaborator, you will get the chance to engage with Queen Mary’s mission in shaping research that leads to meaningful change through:
- Collaborating with Queen Mary’s professional service staff helping researchers achieve real world impact and change from their research
- Sharing their expertise, engaging with pioneering research, and contributing to innovations that benefit society, industries, and communities across the UK and globally
Who can participate?
We are inviting external professionals with varied levels of expertise (from junior to mid/senior levels)
Profiles of professionals can include but are not limited to the following sectors and positions:
- Industry: Analysts/Associates/Officers in R&D, Finance, Business Development
- Policy and Government: Policy Assistants, Research Analysts, Civil Servants, Scientists
- Non-profits / Civil Society: Coordinators/Officers in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation or Community Engagement
- Health and Social Care: Practitioners, Clinical Researchers, Fellows
- Education: Teachers, Postdocs, Early Career Researchers, Knowledge Exchange Professionals
- Creative and Cultural Sectors: Assistants, Producers, Curators, Emerging Artists
- Startups: Founders (pre-seed/seed stage), Consultants, Venture Developers, Accelerator Programme Coordinators/Associates/Managers
Your Role, Impact and Benefits
You can participate as a Peer Reviewer, Panelist for early-stage impact projects, or both:
Peer Reviewer
- What you’ll do: Assess applications for impact funding (£10k-£50k) and provide feedback to help researchers improve their projects
- Your impact: Help ensure that projects funded by the Queen Mary Impact Fund are of the highest quality and truly impactful
Panelist
- What you’ll do: Serve on panels to assess innovative, early-stage research projects seeking up to £10k in funding
- Your impact: Shape high-risk, high-reward projects and guide research that has the potential to drive societal change
