Professor Lars Chittka is an internationally renowned researcher in animal behaviour, whose work has transformed understanding of insect cognition. His research has revealed complex cognitive abilities in bees, reshaping scientific perspectives on animal intelligence and sentience. With an extensive publication record in leading journals and numerous international honours, his work has had profound influence across biology and beyond. Alongside his research, he is an active science communicator, engaging global audiences through public lectures, media and his widely-acclaimed book The Mind of a Bee.
