Queen Mary launches new MSc in Financial Technology (FinTech) to prepare graduates for the future of finance

Queen Mary University of London’s School of Economics and Finance is set to launch a brand-new MSc in Financial Technology (FinTech) in September 2026, designed to equip students with the skills and expertise to thrive in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries.

Developed in collaboration with the Schools of Computer Science and Law, the programme brings together the worlds of finance, artificial intelligence, and regulation to give graduates a distinctive edge in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy.

Students will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning, blockchain, and big data, while also developing the knowledge needed to design innovative financial solutions and address the regulatory challenges shaping global markets.

Career opportunities for graduates will span a wide range of sectors, from digital banking and RegTech to financial data science, opening doors to leadership roles at the forefront of the FinTech industry.
