Facilities

Located at the Mile End campus, the Graduate Centre is home to the School of Economics and Finance, providing excellent facilities and resources for students to enhance their learning experience. The seven-storey building features 7,700 square metres of teaching and learning space.

The School offers excellent on-campus resources, including:

  • Two computer labs with 64 PCs
  • A trading lab with 25 Bloomberg terminals
  • Study spaces, lecture theatres and seminar rooms
  • Café Grad

Our spaces

The building features two lecture theatres, including the Peston and Montagu. The Montagu is designed in a Harvard-style layout, creating an engaging and interactive learning environment. In addition, there are several spacious seminar rooms to support your studies.

On the ground floor, Café Grad serves coffee alongside a delicious selection of sandwiches, salads, and cakes.

Software

Our designated computer labs have a wide range of industry packages including Stata, Scientific Workplace, ArcGIS, Mathematica, Wolfram Finance Platform and Matlab. Students can install some of these software packages on their own computers. You can access economic and financial data through platforms including Bloomberg, Macrobond, Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS), The Economist and the Financial Times, and get free access to popular industry publications. Exclusive use of market-leading psychometrics software is also provided, meaning you will be able to prepare for the job selection process.
