Profile

Mihaela is a PhD Economics candidate in the School of Economics and Finance at QMUL. Her primary research interests are in macroeconomics and household finance. She is particularly interested in the macroeconomic consequences of demographic ageing: how shifts in the population structure interact with pension systems, asset markets and monetary-fiscal policy to shape aggregate outcomes.

Before joining the Department, she worked as a research assistant at the European Central Bank, ZEW and the Bank of Spain.

Mihaela holds a BSc in Economics from University Carlos III of Madrid, and an MSc in Economics from the University of Mannheim.
