Q. Can the non-editing teacher role be amended?
Question:
Can the non-editing teacher role be amended so that certain assessment materials are visible, with an option to prevent non‑editing teachers from viewing (not just modifying) other content?
Answer:
Yes, you can restrict a non-editing teacher from accessing parts of a module. This is achieved following these steps:
- First enrol them as a ‘Student' at the module level
- Then assign the 'Non-Editing Teacher’ role for a specific activity (or activities), such as a quiz.
This video demonstrates how to do this:

Q. Is it possible to submit an assignment for a student after the cutoff?
Question:
Is it possible to submit an assignment on behalf of a student after the cutoff date has passed?
Answer:
If the 'cut-off date' function is enabled for an assignment and the date has already passed, the option to submit on behalf of a student will not be available. However, you can grant the student an extension, after which you will need to log in as the student to submit the assignment on the student’s behalf.
You can find more information about this feature in our QMplus assignment staff guidance, under the 'How to Submit on behalf of a student' section.
