With a Basic licence:

Your scheduled meetings will be limited to 40 minutes.

You can still join Zoom meetings hosted by others using the free version.
There is currently no integration between QMplus and Microsoft Teams. We are investigating this for the future however there are no plans for the immediate future.
MS Teams recordings are currently uploaded to the meeting organiser's OneDrive (private meetings) or SharePoint (channel meetings). It’s also linked in the chat for the meeting. More information on managing Teams recordings can be found here.
Any recordings made before Zoom was decomissioned were automatically transferred to QMplus Media (Kaltura).
To keep these recordings available for students in the QMplus archive, you will need to add them to the module's media gallery.

Should you choose to keep using a free Zoom account, or an account you pay for yourself, these recordings will not be transferred to QMplus Media (Kaltura).
We do not recommend that individuals or schools/departments purchase Zoom licenses, as IT Services will not provide central support for Zoom.
Yes, you can still join Zoom meetings using the free version of Zoom. Similarly, those outside of QMUL do not need an MS Teams license to join meetings—you can send them an invitation, and they can access the meeting via a web browser or the MS Teams app without any cost.
You can host online meetings and video calls for up to 1,000 people on MS Teams with our current Microsoft 365 plan.
Students should be logged into MS Teams using their QMUL account before they join a meeting.
