AskTELT Spotlight - Using QMplus Forums to Support Teaching and Learning

Discover how Moodle forums can be used to communicate with your students, create meaningful conversations and discussions.
We’re delighted to introduce a new feature as part of our AskTELT in 20 drop-in sessions. Throughout August, our Monday sessions will become TELT Spotlight, a focused 30-minute training session designed to help you pick up practical tips and tools.
Starting Monday 3rd August, each session will run from 1:00pm–1:30pm, with the option to stay for an additional 30 minutes for Q&A and hands-on practice.
By the end of this 30-minute session participants will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of QMplus forums in teaching and learning.
- Identify common forum types and their uses.
- Create and configure a QMplus forum.
- Apply good practice principles when using forums to engage students.
- Recognise key settings that affect participation and communication.
