A recent update to the Brickfield Block that appears on most academic modules on QMplus, means an easier way to access basic accessibility training.

TELT have recently enabled an 'Accessibility Training' button on QMplus for staff. You will be able to see it wherever the Brickfield Accessibility+Review Block is enabled. The button utilises a Single Sign On (SSO) authentication method, meaning staff will not need to login again to a separate system - using the button will take them straight to the online self-directed accessibility modules.

There are four introductory modules:

  1. Accessibility Foundations
  2. Web Accessibility
  3. Media Accessibilty
  4. Document Accessibility

You can complete as many as you need to and they do not take too long to complete.

With accessibility now being a legal requirement for universities, it is our moral obligation to be aware of basic accessibility regulations and how we can create accessible content for all our learners.
