January Welcome Week 2026: Connecting Students with TELT

Last month, TELT worked with Student Ambassadors to deliver a series of engaging Welcome Week induction sessions for our January starters at Queen Mary. As always, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with new students, introduce them to the technologies we support, and help them feel confident using them as they begin their studies. We were delighted to welcome nearly 400 students to our in-person sessions, with Annette and John working closely alongside our brilliant TELT Ambassadors, who led the face-to-face activities with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Alongside the induction sessions, we also trialled a TELT information stand in the Library, with Ambassadors on hand to answer questions and offer guidance. The stand created an informal and approachable space for students to seek support and learn more about the services available to them. A huge thank you to all of our TELT Ambassadors for their energy and warmth in welcoming our January intake.
