Reflecting on My Experience as a TELT Student Ambassador

Becoming a TELT Student Ambassador has been one of my most fulfilling experiences whilst being a student at Queen Mary. I believe I have developed personally and professionally, from delivering presentations in front large cohorts of people to talking one on one with students to help them with their individual issues. Every TELT session was different, whether it was adjusting to a larger audience or trying to keep students engaged. I believe I’ve become much more confident in public speaking, time management and teamwork, and these are all skills which will benefit me beyond my academic life.

What I value the most about working as TELT ambassador was the community that we have. I have truly felt so welcomed whilst working as part of the TEL team, and it’s been such a pleasure to work with likeminded and motivated individuals, I believe we all worked great together to create a warm and welcoming environment for students, and that we all worked together to create a very impactful and useful experience for new students!
